Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she is responsible for covering everything from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin was raised in the space sector as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. Over the last five years she's been covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations for FOX News. The reporter also reported on the 2020 presidential race as well as the efforts of two administrations to fight the coronavirus. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the president and vice president. She was even on a secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter before being hired by CBS in 2015. Using her skills behind the camera, Kristin founded Field Mouse Films in 2014, which focused on making documentary-style movies for clients of corporate nature, including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism that she obtained at Boston University. She is married to her husband in Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
